Default LP's mini timbale versus micro snare?

What is the difference is sound?

Tonality-wise, not much. The micro-snare has snare wires under the head.

I used a set of the mini-timbales as high toms for years; with a set of Pinstripes on them, all cranked up, they sounded pretty passable in that role - very rototom-like.
