Default Clear Emp vs Clear Vintage Emp samples

I tried out the new clear vintage emperors lately and took a sample with a brand new clear emperor then another with the new clear vintage emperor on a 12" tom. I thought you guys might enjoy hearing the difference. It's not a huge one when tuned the same, but it's there. I'm digging the vintage for sure. A little less paper on the attack and a tad bit more boom. It's subtle, but noticeable. Miced top and bottom with a KSM32 on top and a D2 on bottom. No eq or processing.

I plan on doing a controlled comparison of lots of heads in this manner eventually. Anyone have any comments or suggestions when the big day goes down? Anybody have any comments on this on in particular?

hey, convert them to mp3 format and post them. I know there's a tiny bit of a loss in quality, but generally minimal. but considering on most connections it takes anywhere from 3-5 minutes to download the clips, many people probably haven't listened.

Or you could post it up on youtube. Either way thank you for the demonstration.
