Congrats. Sweet lookin' kit.. I love the Yamaha RC's. I'm on my 3rd kit. 22, 13, 14, 16. I figure if you want a birch kit, Yamaha kinda wrote the book on birch. What sizes, Nick? Details, we need details.

Sizes are 10x10, 10x12, 14x14, 16x16, 17x22
It's a late 80's or early 90's
I used it on two session so far and they record so beautifully.

Right now I have coated Force 10's on the Toms and a Super Kick 10 on the Bass.

That's a pretty rare finish. Piano black, cherry, & quartz grey seem to be the common colors. I've never seen a blue kit, before. My current kit, is the vintage natural. Actually, I had to buy two kits, to get the sizes. My first kit came with the 14x14. The second kit, I bought for the 13x9, and the 16x16.

I had 3 RC kits, white, red and black. Wish I still had them. They do sound sweet and record well...hence the name right? The only thing I didn't like, if you could really call it that, was that the kick drum wasn't powerful enough for me, which led to my return to maple. But, the toms sounded so nice and they sounded great on recordings I did with them. Great score, I'm sure you'll dig them for a long time!
