Default iOS trigger input for kick?

I'm currently using a spd-s and KD8 to control Ableton live. I like it. But now I'm looking for a more low profile setup. I want to use a conga and the KD8 for a kick. Thats it. But the KD8 needs a brain for sound. Is there a low profile trigger input for a kick drum? Maybe something that I could use plugged into an iPhone or iPad as the brain? Or some other small device? Then output for the sound system?

Default Re: iOS trigger input for kick?

I'm wondering a similar thing. Trying to use my iPad as a controller/brain for a couple Roland drum pads. Wondering what apps there may be to dump some sounds into and if there are any simple interfaces that can connect the Roland pads to the iPad.
