Default Anyone remember Canna-Sonic drum heads?

I got one of these in the '80's and loved it. Never heard or seen one since and people give you the deer in headlights look if you talk about them.

Mine was some sort of fiber woven material and was red. I liked to really crank my snare back then and pulled the head. I looked for one a few months later and could never find one. I remember it popped pretty good and felt amazing to play.

Anyone remember these?

I remember having had one on my snare for a while in the late 70s. I think the right spelling is Canasonic if you want to google it.

Thanks...I didn't realize I had the incorrect spelling. That helps a little on some other searches. Looks like chances of finding a NOS one is not going to happen. LOL

Try Paul T. Riddle ( Marshall Tucker 70-80).... if anyone out there knows more about the old Canasonics I don't know who it would be. May be Louis Ross ( Wet Willie Band) They both grew up with Capricorn Records back in the Southern Rock days and I think Paul teaches, makes sticks and still may have these heads. I've losted touch but Google and I think you will find him in Spartanburg, SC still drummin Duck .... old Octa...
