Default COPPER SNARE DRUM REPAIR

hi everyone i have a copper pearl sig snare drum (Marvin "Smitty" Smith). it has become oxidised over time i have cleaned it using tomato sauce (great job). the parts that haven't oxidised still have lacquer on them. I wish to bring it back the original metal with out damaging. and then re-lacquer it.

will some thing like this work or will it be too harsh
