Default Cleaning Felt Beaters

Is it possible?

Maybe soak them in a diluted bleach solution or something?

I've got several older pedals with felt beaters that look pretty ratty just from being dirty. Just wondered if it's possible to salvage them rather than buying new ones.

I never tried cleaning mine. When they start looking dirty, they're starting to wear quit a bit, in my experience anyway, so I just buy a new one. I can only turn the ball type felt beater so many ways before the entire thing looks too rough to use. I use to go through "powder puff" beaters like crazy until I started using a different head on my DW Classic kit, now I use a Tama felt beater on that.

Ya - probably not worth the effort. Guess I'll just spring for a bunch of new ones. Some of them look really bad - ha ha.
