Default Pocket Camcorder Recommendations for Home Studio use

Hi all,

I'm looking for a small video camera for making drumming videos from my home studio. Audio isn't an issue as I'll be overlaying the video with dedicated audio from my recording equipment, but here are a few things I'm looking for:

- Tripod mountable
- Backwards facing screen (this is a must as I only have a small space to work in and will need to set up the camera in a corner.)
- HD (preferably full 1080p "super HD")
- Upper price range about 150.

I'm not looking for the best HD camera out there, but one that produces good, clear HD video, is modern and easy to use, and has the above features.

Any ideas? So far I've been looking at these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-HX...077796&sr=1-12

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Veho-VCC-002...077796&sr=1-16

But can't same I'm convinced by either. The problem seems to be that very few of the better pocket cams have the backwards facing screen.

Thanks

By backward facing, do you mean that it faces the same direction as the lens?

Might be hard to find a camera built like that. i think you'd have to go with a camera with a rotatable screen, but then it wouldn't be too compact. I enjoy using a Kodak PlayTouch with a plug-in Olympus stereo mic.
