Default Yamaha Stage Custom Bop

I wasn't expecting to see these on the used market around here, because they're still pretty new.
It seems someone got this 3 piece kit, made some changes to it, and couldn't get it how they wanted it, or something. So I got a good deal on them.

Some of the changes are good - some not so good. The tom heads have been changed out for hydraulics. I like the stock coated heads better.

The tom mount has been changed from a single, to a double (capable), with the 3 hole mount, but the combination makes for a too high tom. I'm going to have to cut the shaft down a bit.

The stock bass drum head has been changed out for an Emad, which I like, but there's a 6" hole in the resonant stock head, which I don't like.

Only one noticeable ding on the tom near the mount bracket, but I can live with it considering the price.

Nice! I was thinking about buying a 16" floor tom and "bopping" out my stage custom. Ends up being pretty much the same price as a sonor safari though...

I got the 3 used pieces (tom w/mount, floor tom and 18" bass) for a bit less than it would have cost to order just a new bass drum that size, so I couldn't pass it up.

I tried converting a 16" tom to a bass, but didn't find it to my liking.

That is one cool set! I love the color and the sizes. Enjoy. Peace and goodwill.
