Default Eddie and the Cruisers II. Eddie Lives!!

...what a crappy movie............

Anyone ever had the chance to see it? Its from like 1989 and its the 2nd part of a series about a dude name Eddie who everyone thinks dies at the end of P1 but then hes still alive in the 2nd part under a diffrent name. and FINALLY at the very end of the move (2nd part) hes all like "Yea, Im Eddie,". WHAT A WASTE OF 2 HOURS!! Honestly, its a crappy movie with beyond awful actors, story, plot, "climax," and the choregography....talk about faking it.

Just wanted to rant about the 2 hours of time i wasted last night. Any1 see it at all?

Steve.

I vaguely remember bits and pieces of it, so I am not sure if I just caught bits on TV over the years, or if I watched the whole thing and have unsuccessfully blocked it all out and am having flashbacks.

One of the worst sequels of all time. The whole movie blows. It totally took AWAY from the 1st one, which wasn't bad at all. And that younger blonde guy that is supposed to be the guitar shredder Eddie takes under his wing... HE SUCKS!

I never watched it but I remember John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band which did alot of the soundtrack to it.. Pretty decent rock and Roll from what I recall.

I had a college literature professor who LOVED the original movie. He always showed it in his literature in film class, right along with movies like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Death of a Salesman. He was an actor himself and felt the movie was full of symbolism and had a great story. It was one of my favorite classes.

Professor Todd is now deceased and everytime I hear about the sequel, I feel the poor man is probably rolling over in his grave.

They filmed the concert scene in the first movie at our high school in NJ.
