the 2 is the new version. Pretty easy to see what the list of upgrades are by googling. Both are good drums. Dont buy the old version unless you are getting a big discount

The TD4 KX and the TD4 KX2 are identical except for the fact that the KX2 is an updated model with a better "brain" so to speak.

Note that the TD4KX is severely outdated and unless you can find at it a significant discount, I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
My estimate is that unless it's being sold for $500-ish it is definetly not worth it.

The TD4-KX2 is a competent drumkit, amongst the higher Mid-End Range of V-Drums.
On retail it was launched for $1100-ish but nowdays you could probably find it for cheaper.
Unless you can find it for around $900 it's definetly not worth investing in

The TD-4 KX2 is also being phased out recently and it's being replaced by a new compact model (not sure which one) This doesn't mean that the KX2 in any way, in fact it's probably the best bang-for-buck electronical drumkit you can get if you can get it around the $900 mark. It's in the mid-end range of electronical drumkit, not too cheap nor too shabby, but not too expensive and not too fancy.

Mind you that with both the TD4-KX and KX2 you won't get a bass pedal nor a drumchair, so you have to consider that being added to the final price!
