Default Vocalist wants to trigger some backing vocals

As the subject states, our singer wants to add some vocals that would not be possible with a harmonizer device. It's usually different timing or like an "oooooh" behind the lead vocals.

We've looked at a Digitech Jam Man Solo, or installing Ableton Live on a laptop triggering the sounds with a footswitch.

We all play into a JamHub, if that matters.

What can you suggest?

Sounds like it would be easier to just set up some extra mics and get the other band members to do it! It's not all that hard to nail a note if you practice it, record and critique yourself.

You want backing vocals, get backing vocalists. 'Nuff said
