Default Mesh heads

Alright! I have one of those "tuneable" drum pads laying around and i hate using it (too loud) and I remember hearing you can change the head on them, but would I be able to put a mesh head on it? Im looking for a super quiet pad, like even quieter than "normal" gum rubber pads, and i figured the mesh head would fit that quota.

What you're suggesting is almost pointless.

Leave the pad a pad and put the mesh head on a drum.

mesh heads on a snare drum w/o the bottom head are really quite.

Except that!
1. I have no extra drums laying around and no way in hell am i changing heads every day
2. I have a extra drum pad that might be able to be quieter than the gum pads I have and that would be great for when I'm up late and I cant use the rubber pad, since im 14, and my younger brothers are trying to sleep
3. I REALLY hate that thing as it is

You'll get real good at tuning.

You can drop a towel/something in on the bottom head.

The plus is- you're playing on an actual drum, the size, rim, everything is how its supposed to be.
