Default G14 versus G2

Can anyone compare/contrast these two heads for me: The G14 with the G2 or Remo Emperor. They are both 14 mil heads, but the G2 is two ply, and the G14 is one ply. If anyone has any experience between these two with regard to volume (cut), sustain, and tuning range, or really any comments on tone, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I had been using G2 coated, and just got the G14 yesterday. See the thread just below this one.
