Default Ahead Sticks: Help Replacing Tips ?

i need to replace the tips on my Studio Hybrid AB's. the trouble is, that i can't tighten them enough by hand to get them to stay on. is there a trick or tip to getting them to stay put, so that i don't have to check them every few songs to see if they have worked loose ?

otherwise, my Ahead Sticks are still in fantastic shape after 14 months. i bought replacement sheaths at the same time i bought replacement tips, but i haven't needed them at all. the original sheaths are in great shape.

I used to use those sticks, but found replacing them got tiresome after a while. Plus some snapped right in half on me lol.

For the tips i used a pair of lock jaw pliers and a small piece of cloth to tighten it up. I also put a dab of super glue on the top of the threads to hold it better.

Thanks Pimento. how long does the Super Glue last ? weeks ? months ? years ?

i don't want to lose a tip and subsequently rip a head.

thanks, and which model Ahead stick did you use ?

Hey,
Use a pair of pliers, your tips should stay on then. I use the Hybrids as well and don't have any issues with them slipping off.
