Default Evans website Batter Head Sound Clips

Anyone know by listening to the sound clips at the Evans Sound Sample Page how they are tuned?

To me...it almost sounds like the batter is tuned to the medium side of low with a higher/sharper reso, does that sound right?

I would tend to agree. I really like the new Evans site.

Yeah I like their website a lot...I was listening to the clear G-plus head sample and man I don't know if it's my ears but it just sounds a bit on the dead side to me. The Clear G1 and G2's sound good but that G-plus head does not sound like it's an in between G1/G2 head. Feel free to tell me I have my head up my a** lol.

There is no wrong or right answer.
Everyone hears slightly different.
Go with the head sound that you like.
I can hear a difference that puts the GPlus only slightly in between the G1 and G2.
I had to put my ear buds in. It is a tough call.

FWIW, a while back I asked what tom they used:

It was a 8x12 6-lug, 7-ply maple with flanged hoops. Cheers!

No worries Pete :) I asked them as a means of helping my own tuning, of course my drums are different but my 12" tom is tuned around the same as their sound samples.

Thanks! Took some serious work to pull it all together. I didn't sleep for a week! :-)
