Default Roland Octapad SPD-30

Hi everyone, new to this forum.
Just purchased the SPD-30 to add to my acoustic set. Have gone through the manual, but in my opinion it isn't user friendly. So my question is ... can anyone please help me figure out how to change sounds on the pads. There are many sounds I have no use for and would like to use other sounds that come with the pad. I've printed the Instrument List. So, can someone assist me. Yes, I've emailed Roland, but haven't received a reply in 3 days.

If you're serious - sit down at the SPD-30 with your manual.
Go through step by step the directions on pages 30 and 31.
Done.
