Pearl Reference Series vs. Gretsch USA Custom

Hi Guys! I started a new show on youtube where i'm comparing musical gear. For my first show I compared a Pearl Reference Series and a Gretsch USA custom. Check it out if you can!

Perthman..... for an even comparison.. try to use kits with the same thickness shells. The Pearl Reference PURE or the Masters Legend would be what you compare to the Gretsch IMO.

Both sounded good.

If they were equally priced, I wouldn't hesitate to go with Gretsch.

hi artstar, thanks for the comment! Sadly, these two kits were the only models I could get a hold on to so. What i'm trying to do with the show really is not so much to compare how similar some gear are but how different they can sound. :)

That's great bassman... but maybe just put in the video that the 2 kits are designed very different with shell spec. Or state in the video "What I am trying to do is not to show how similar some gear are but how different they can sound. : ) "
