Default Odd Headphone Question

This is an odd question I know, but here goes. Sometimes (rarely I admit) a friend or two would like to hear me play drums. I usually bow out because the volume in a 20'X20' room with a 10' ceiling is just too much for their ears to stand. Are their headphones you would recommend that they could use to muffle the sound? Electronic? Thanks for your thoughts.

Any isolation headphones will work shure SE215's are fairly cheap and are a great set of headphones!

why not just buy some cheap foam ear plugs?

I'm not as worried about cheap as I am about my friend's ears. Foam earplugs might do it but I'm not sure I would be comfortable. Thanks very much!

Depending on the type and density of the foam plugs, it will probably cause havoc with the full frequency spectrum of your drums and cymbals by attenuating different frequencies much more than others. This is why so many kinds of headphones make the leakage sound more musical and more like the sounds of your drums more than others do.

Just a thought.
