I'd probably keep it a thin or a medium thin. For Sabian, I'd look at an Evolution, or an AAX or HHX Xplosion. Those are my favorites from them.

For Zildjian, the regular A Custom is hard to top.

For in this case, you may want bright cymbals to go on with those cymbals like you said, mate.

Oh, you play SABIAN? Well, that goes well with AAX and AA. (and probably not HHX.. :P)

You can try browse in the Internet for some cymbal reviews whose sounds match with the cymbals you said. But make sure the review itself is recorded with mics, so you don't get the misconception that the cymbal is bad sounding and noisy.

And not only that, you also have to prove the "good sound" of the cymbal yourself in a music store.

But for in this case, I think there should be a crash ride in your kit.

That's all mate.

Sincerely,

Baskoro

I'd say stick to bright and rather thin cymbals, like the AAXplosion crashes which are real nice. No need to look further I think :)

i might look to more of an effects cymbal, say an 18" aax ozone crash. but he didn't mention a ride. i would look for a good ride before another crash

Forgot to mention I have a 22" aax stage ride! D'oh.

Will have a closer look at the aaxplosion then.

Well if you have the stage ride, why not try out some AAX stage crashes. I love my 16, and 18.

Would a 18" stage crash compliment my other crashes?

Well the stage will sound very much like your AA, because they are both medium thin. The thing I don't like about the Evolutions is that they are a bit too smooth, and not enough meat, for my liking. I have 4 of them, and they are fine, just not my favorites.

I did a rough video of all my Sabian cymbals, that cover four different models. Have a listen, it might help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkDt1...ggJAmqg-VA585L
