Hmm. I thought Vistalites were introduced late 1972. Not 1971? I associate them with the mid 1970s though, for some reason. I wonder what year/years the kit was most popular based on sales and how the New Vistalites are selling?

Not sure on the tom either 13" or 12" maybe, but the bass drum & floor-tom sizes I totally agree with.

My first thought about the tom was 12", but it has the same-sized lug casings as the floor tom, so it has to be a 13"...or else it's a strange duck indeed!

Good point you're probably right then, imo would look sweeter with black bd hoops with silver sparkle inlays but that's just me.

That bass does not look like a 24" to me but I could be wrong. 22" is my guess.

floor 18X16
rack 13X10
snare pork pie 13X 6.5

21" zildjian mega bell ride
20" zildjian a custom ride
13" zildjian a mastersound hats

the guy at the shop told me it was 71 or 72, he couldn't say for sure.
it's my first "big" kit and i love it

I'll bet it sounds great! I don't know when the vistas first came to be...they were first listed in the 1973 catalogs, though.
