Default Different DW 9000 models???

So I just ordered the DW 9000 double pedal(9002). I have done tons of research but cant find an answer. The ones that I ordered have the red trim but I have seen a few that dont have the red. Is there a difference in the two models or is it strictly cosmetic?

Interesting question...
I picked up the single version about 1 1/2 years ago - red trim on the pedal/heel hinge.

I checked on ebay, and some supposedly "new" ones don't have the red trim on the hinge.

You know, they're over-engineered, but as long as you have the infinite adjustment cam, floating center spring, double chain, floating lower spring sprocket (overengineered!) - they should be the same.

Give them a call and they can answer that for you if needed...

I would say cosmetic. If they had done something else revolutionary with it they would have had a big ad campaign.

It's a great pedal, super smooth. Also comes with the strap drive. Might want to play around with that too. I found after 20+ years of playing chain that when I tried the strap on my 9000 and I liked the way it felt compared to the chain.
