Default My one of a kind SuperSolid snare

Just arrived. A 13 x 7 x 3/8 SuperSolid with a Cherry middle and Maple edges. This drum is a first for DW, having never done a 13 x 7 SuperSolid, let alone in the edge format. It is currently the only one of its kind.

Oh yeah, it sounds pretty damned good too.

Very cool. I seem to prefer 13" snares these days. Can you post a sound sample?

It's all shell - those aren't re-rings. It's all cut by a CNC machine, and the videos on the DW website showing how it's done are very cool - check it out under Super Solid Snare.

Congratulations on your 1 of a kind beautiful snare drum, Brundlefly - what a beauty! I'm waiting on an 8 x 14 DW Classic Series Snare as part of a DW Classic Series kit with 9x13, 16x16, and 14x24. My snare will be cool, but not as unique and innovative as yours - have fun! That's exciting.
