Default Pearl Jungle Jig

Hey guys was looking for a bit of help. I'm pretty interested in getting a smaller kit but in order to avoid causing an upset, or regretting a sell I'm unsure of making, I'm investing ways in which I can use what I have to get the best of both worlds. It just so happens that I stumbled upon this...

Now I'm new to floor tom conversion so my big question is how universal is this? I have a Ludwig Accent Custom drum kit, and even though this is only 30 dollars, I just wanted to see if anybody has experience with this or a similar product that will aid me in this adventure. Thank you for your time. =]

This only really works if you have a Pearl tom. It also requires the ISS Optimount and another mount. So you're total cost would be closer to $100 if you had a Pearl floor tom. Not sure what you'd have to do with your existing floor tom.

Yeah, I got one of these and it works...sort of. It seems to clamp on to the hoop well but as soon as I pick it up to move it, it falls off. It stays on fine while i'm playing though.

Look in the hardware DIY/mods/repairs thread. There are many examples of people having done this in lots of different ways.

I agree, you should hold on to your larger set and rearrange it to make a smaller set when needed. You can always get a smaller set from a larger set but not vice-versa.

I own one of these and use it daily.

The piece of hardware is excellent. Well-made, functional and simple to use. Without a spare Pearl mount though, it is a problem. Without a spare mount it would get expensive.
