Normally I would not post a photo of a case. However, I am very impressed with the new cases released by Ludwig. This is a cross between a soft and hard case, and is fur lined and extremely well made. The softer olive green white and blue soft cases are also very nice. I also checked out the Atlas hardware. Well done Ludwig.

Also, later this week when I get a chance I will dig out a few more snares and cymbals. One of which is an old Acrolyte and a really amazing Sleishman with block hoops. I will post some more random cymbals, like the Paiste Twenty ride a few photos ago. Who knew I had a Twenty ride??

The studio Tama kit. A tan tan and chekere can also be seen as well as a book I use to teach. O rings are used to control the sound within the padded studio. I never use rings live. The kit is a Tama imperial star.

Wow, I hadn't seen your post with the 1900 Sonor snare before. Where the hell did you find that? Seems to be in excellent condition considering it's 112 years old!

Loving your other percussion lovelies too. What a collection you have. It's totality must be like trying to map the universe ;) Great eye for quality & the quirky :)

Thanks mate. I need to get to my collection. Have not been there since last November. When I do I will try to dig around for pieces to list here. This has become a way of keeping track. Things have gone missing. For example I am missing a tube lug LM 400. Do not know where it is.
Hopefully I will be able to show more antiques as well.

Also a mate saw my thread and asked why I show pictures of an individual cowbell among others. Well each sound is as important as another. Plus I think the photos look nice. :-)

I couldn't agree more. Just because it's origins are humble, doesn't mean it hasn't got something to say.

But where did you get that 1900 Sonor??????

The internet. Also I have a private network of people I deal with. I have a particular fondness for all things Leedy, for example. I don't share many of these details. It can be quite competitive. The beauty for me is I use the gear. Every piece is a working instrument. The old Sonor has been on gigs recently and sounded incredible. Hopefully you will see some. This is a big job. It is a day's work just to pull things out of storage.

Torelli pandeiro. I love this pandeiro. It is lightweight and sounds great. I also have a natural head for it.

Bodhrans. The first is a Waltons. The second is a generic Asian made drum.

These little LP bells are great. This one's blue counterpart is in my studio where I am using it when teaching timbales.

Original heads and wire removed and stored. Ambassadors top and bottom plus a high quality Yamaha wire, it is ready to gig.

No, steele did not sell me the acrolite.
