Default Pearl Export EX Kit

Is a pearl Export EX a solid intermediate kit? I've heard them and like the sound, but how about durability, build quality and hardware? I've found a kit for $850 with Sabian HHX cymbals (http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...AdIdZ296295325)

Good Deal? Good Kit?

I don't know if it's agood deal because i?m from another country , but I can tell you that pearl export are mid -level drums, but this doens't mean mis sound quality, with proper heads and good tunning they can sound pro. and the cymbals are really good and versatile

I have a friend who has an EXR kit and really likes it.

He bought it because it was lighter than his (pro line) MLX kit, and say's the sound is great--with good heads and proper tuning, but that applies to any kit if you ask me.

Don't know about the price, but the cymbals are great that are with it.

The Red with Black looks nice too.

They look like a nice set of drums, the only thing that puts me off are the Pearl ISS rack tom mounts where the entire weight of the drums are hanging from a tiny portion of the hoops. That would be the definite deal breaker as far as I'm concerned. If you want to spend more money, you can get Optimounts to replace them.
