Default YAMAHA DTX500 or DTXPLORER

Which would you buy the Explorer is $599 and the DTX500 $799.

Are these not as good as a Roland TD-4KX2? This is $1,095.

Thx

Default Re: YAMAHA DTX500 or DTXPLORER

Get the DTX500...better module than the DTXplorer..the module on the DTX500 is nicer than the td-4 module (more features)...the snare on the td-4 is mesh, so that will probably feel a little better than rubber pad..yamaha sells a DTX520, which has the TCS snare pad and nicer cymbals (than both DTX500 and td-4) for $1099 or the DTX530 which has even nicer hihat and crash (for $1295)...I've owned both brands (and still play both top of the line kits - td20 and DTX900), I prefer the Yamaha sounds to Roland, a little more realistic sounding to my ears....what is your budget?..
