Default Help Decide buying tomorrow

A local shop has a new Roland TD-4kx2 for $1,095 or a lightly used by a 10yr old girl TD-9SX. It is kast years model but has the upgraded snare for $1,599 or a New Yamaha DXT500 for $799.

I listened in thier sound room, their drummer playing a Roland TD-6 and I was not impressed. Even my wife who knows nothing about music said it reminds of Toy R Us. She then heard an acoustic and said now that sounds like a drum set.

This would be my first Electronic set. It sounded dead no matter what he changed the settings to. Weak! But I have neighbors that would love to have a reason to call the Police and complain about noise. There goes an Acoustic Set.

Anyway, what do you recommend from the above.

Thx

Out of those... I'd take the roland. I really preder yammies, as I think they sound better... but I also think that the cheapest yammie I would get is the DTXpress. The Roland has the mesh pad... the round cymbals. Multi-trigger pads... i say Roland
