Default which heads for mahogany kit?

which heads would be best for a mahogany kit? suggestions?

Been working on this same thing myself. I tried Aquarian Super 2's recently and they sounded great, but don't last long if your a heavy hitter.

Remo Coated emperors on the snare and toms, and remo powerstroke 3 with a flamslam on the bass, resonant heads would have to be clear ambassadors on snare and toms, and a ebony powerstroke 3 on the bass, It works for me so i hope this helps

For the toms I would go clear pinstripes batters and clear ambassador resos. Though if you want a bit more of a punchier tone go diplomat resos. Pinstripes would really bring out the deep warm tone of the shells as the in built muffling helps to accentuate the bass.

For the kick I would go either pinstripe again or powerstroke 3 batters probably with a powerstroke 3 reso. As for snare, that's up to you. I play a powerstroke 3 or ambassador batter with an ambassador snare side on my TAMA mahogany snare
