Default how to tell the difference between the poplar and maple pacific pdp x7

I just bought a used purple fade pdp x7 kit and im curious to find what wood it was made from,i know they switched from poplar to maple in 09,but i dont know when the kit was made,any ideas to find out if its poplar or maple?

I hope you like your new kit. It is understandable that you want to know this. However, does it really matter? If you like the sound, you have good kit, period. May it give you years of musical joy.

I will still like th kit either way,just curious because they had that transition in the wood they used,it would ne helpful to know

Read the badge. If it's Maple it will say it there.
I was looking at one of those at Guitar center one day. I asked a employ if it was maple or poplar, he told me that "the poplar ones only came in a strange pinkish/redish color." That, however, is not true at all.
