Hello

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think this sounds so good. Anyone give me an idea of what skins can make that sort of noise, and how they are tuned.

No right or wrong with drum tuning.
Sounds PRETTY dead and low to me, might just be mics or something though... also, it says in the description he really likes clear ambassadors on both sides.

I agree with Mr.L that is sounds just a little too dead for me too but I dont think it's wrong either and might actually work sound different once it's placed next to the other drums in the kit.
