Default Upgrading Hardware: Ludwig Elite or Canopus?

I'm tooling around with some old drums and adding RIMS to the toms. I'm also adding a bass drum mount for the toms. After looking over various drum part options, the Ludwig Elite single tom arm and bass drum mount and Canopus single tom arm and bass mount look the nicest to me.

Is one of better quality than the other? Or, are both the Canopus (CSTH-2 image below) and Ludwig Elite mount/bracket of equal quality?

Default Re: Upgrading Hardware: Ludwig Elite or Canopus?

I have both the Ludwig Elite single and double tom holder. They are very nicely constructed. There is'nt that much to say about them as far as innovation, they simply do what they are supposed to. I know there are many other brands of tom holders (DW and Taye) that have more bells and whistles, but the Ludwigs are nice looking and sturdy...who could ask for anything more.

You may want to check out Gibralters line of tom mounts as well...good hardware at a reasonable price.
