Christian Scott's album Rewind That with Thomas Pridgen is kinda what I was looking for. It is similar to some stuff by the rh factor.

Black Milk "Deadly Medley": http://youtu.be/SOMldtCNyZ0 The beat on this was made big on a Black Keys project called Blakroc. However it was originally done by Blackrock, the song was called, "Yeah Yeah".
