This guy is the entire reason I started playing drums. He's not very formal or technical, but he's so fluid in his playing that it literally dumbfounds me at times. He plays from the heart and you can hear it. I heard from an interview that Will and Mark (guitarists) write songs and actually get over-excited to take them to Chris and work them out with drums. That impressed the hell out of me...you don't see too often a drummer that constantly inspires and excites his entire band to the point where they literally bug the hell out of him to get him into the studio lol.

I got the chance to meet Lamb of God while they were on tour with Killswitch Engage and Soilwork here in Phoenix...I'd heard they were a bunch of assholes and I was pretty nervous at first, but people couldn't be more wrong about them. They actually sat down and talked to us backstage and were very inviting and didn't mind my ADHD freakouts one bit, haha. Cool guys, cool band, bad ass drummer.

I've seen Lamb Of God twice live and Chris is such a big inspiration to me. I honestly don't know how his footwork is so amazing, but it just is and that's what amazes me most.

Been listening to Lamb of God this evening and my respect for Adler grows every time I hear them. His 6/8 double bass stuff is a big part of the band's signature sound. And yeah, fluid, as 6o66er said above.

Chris is easily my favorite modern drummer and one of the most innovative today. Have you heard "Now You've Got Something to Die For", "Ruin" and "Laid To Rest"? He's way better than most metal drummers.

this guy rocks!!!
and maybe he is the reason why i play drums...he is my favourite metal drummer because everything in his playing is so groovy ...only few metal drummer have that skill..and my teacher who is mostly a jazz/latin/modern drummer (who doesn't like so much the todays metal music) thinks that adler is a great drummer....keep going chris....

the two most creative feet in metal - hands down.

but what really impresses me is the fact that he is this down to earth guy who drinks a cold beer after a hard days work, i got to talk to him breifly an autograph signing up here in Calgary when Lamb Of God opened for Metallica, he really is a nice guy, theres no ego when you talk to him just energy and passion for the drums and music!

an inspiring musician and a decent guy to boot, rare that...

I've been listening to Lamb of God for quite a reasonable time now and I think this guy is great. He fits so well with the band's music and he has an amazing double bass technique when it comes to tricky patterns.

I like his cymbal work a lot too. I don't think he's very technical compared to the monsters we see today but, he fits perfectly in the music he's into and that's what really matters to me when it comes to drummers.

I've also listened to him when he recorded some stuff for Blotted Science, never thought he will be playing crazy music like that.
