Default My first Meinl...

God dag everyone!

Well, again I got a new pie. This has to stop certainly. :-)
The new toy is a Meinl, my first Meinl actually. A "Jazz" Extra Thin Ride in 22".

I saw this one when I helped a friend find a new ride. I tested the 22" and the 20" version, the 22" could send out more love waves...the particular 20" was too heavy for my personal taste.

I didn`t have the chance to weigh it but it feels like an under-2000-grams-22"-ride. Very buttery and so much trashy wash. I certainly gotta tape it to control it. Rooooaaaarrr. Tiger.
Well, it still got a pitch and a distinctive tone, sounds like a mix between modern complex character and that vintage tone.

Okay, here`re photos for you.

Beautiful pie! I was looking at the Meinl extra dry series recently for a left side ride.
What kit is that by the way? Looks like old school bop sizes?

Really nice cymbal. Meinl makes great stuff and they are an underrated company. I just got a pair of 10 inch Classics mini hats.

Thanks guys!

Well, the kit is a custom made set by a small German drum company called "Cube Drums"...made from German beech wood, right, in bop sizes.

I'm sorry for bringing up an old thread - was searching on Byzance's - but what type of stands can go that low? I love to have everything set tight and low. Thank you, Karl! :)
