What concerns you about the paint? Use some sandpaper to remove it, if you desire.

You are used to play with those ones, go with them !
I don't think it's a good idea to try another stick model at this moment... Have a nice gig.

What concerns me about the paint is that I sweat and the sticks with the paint are slippery.
Anyway I will play with them but also have some back up non signature sticks just in case. Thanks for help :)

I've always dug signature sticks. You get a little taste of what the pros use. I would reccomend using the sticks that you're used to. The signatures that I use are the Vic Firth Steve Gadd and Zildjian Dennis Chambers. Gadd's are painted black but the tips are left untouched (wood or nylon) and Dennis' are just covered in a grippy laquer and they're very light without compromising power. When I was a young lad I used the Travis Barker signature sticks. They're covered in white paint (including the tips) and did a number on my cymbals and sweaty hands.
Bottomline: The drummers way more accomplished than any of us know their sh*t and produce some awesome sticks; however, we don't have the luxury of free cymbals and heads when our other's are broken and covered in paint marks.

If you are used to the sticks, use them on your gig.
Definitely use a stick that feels right in your hand. If you are worried about the paint, you can use Acetone on them and it will take the paint down some without changing the stick. Light sanding will do the same thing, and one of those square spongy things they use in nail salons (get it a ta a beauty supply place) works as well, and they are cheap. If you want the same sticks, but without the paint, check these guy's out. http://www.customdrumstix.com/ I use them, and they make the best sticks I've ever used (35+ years). Have a good show!

Buy some Zildjian Dipped stix or other brand of dipped stix. I make my own and they work great for wet hands
