Default They Call Me the Brreze - band cover

This was recorded about 1 in the morning on the night of my birthday. We had been celebrating since about 6 PM, so we were nice and loose. The line about going to Canada is because there was a busload of quite attractive Canadians at the club that night!

This features guitar and keyboard more than drums, which is fine by me! the guitarist was using a WD-40 can for a slide...

Man that was sweet, front to back. You have great "head bobbing" time. I can feel the little "lift" on the 2 and 4 if you know what I mean. Your band is hot hot hot. That's some leads your guys are playing there. It's nice to think that you paved the way so nicely for the players to really feel loose.

Had to listen a few times. Nice snare control on the single stroke roll buildup leading into the first verse? chorus? Nice backbeat consistency too. Is your guitarist playing a strat?

I really like the last slide lead. Your keyboard player is rockin too. The last note the singer hits is just like butter. Love hearing peoples bands, thanks for that.

Yeah, lovely happy vibe from a bunch of guys who know what they're doing. Doesn't sound like much to ask for, but you sure as hell don't see it very often these days. Wish I was there with a beer in hand (the bus load of attractive Canadian girls sounds pretty tempting too).

Thanks for the comments. I am really lucky to have found such a great group of people to play with. It really IS rare to get together a group of people who are at the same place in life, want similar things from the band, and are at fairly equal skill levels, so I feel really fortunate. We do have a great time, and I'm glad it shows! It's like having extra siblings.

Larry, the lift on the 2 & 4, that's exactly what I'm going for - I love that feel! The guitarists plays a Strat part of the time - he's got a Schecter, a Strat, & a Laguna. I am not sure which guitar he was playing on that song. He usually brings two.

Larry, I checked with the guitarist. That is the Strat. Good call!
