Default How would you describe this snare sound?

I love the sound of this snare. How would you describe it, and how would you go about achieving it? Changing heads, wires? etc.

You could get that sound using a medium to heavy weight coated head. Really any head that is not a pre-muffled type will get you close. The bottom head is likely very tight and the top head is quite tight too, but not so much as to choke the sound. Don't tighten the snares so much that you choke the drum either... Let 'er ring a bit.
