Default KP65 double pedal issues.

Hi

Recently put a DW 3000 series double pedal on my yamaha KP65 electronic kick pad. I am finding that I am not getting the same level of response from each pedal. (right comes through louder than the left) Is there anyway to rectify this?

Thanks

That'll most likely be your playing. Alternatively, make sure that one beater is not too far over. I have a KP65 and have never had this problem.

Actually its not my playing, I did check that.

I just got the pedal, I will have to see if I can move the beaters closer together I guess.

I'm guessing the 3000 Series is the replacement for the 7000 Series?

It could be an issue of triggering. Have a play with the threshold settings on the kit. I'm not sure which MIDI module you're actually using, but it might be a sensitivity issue in that case.

Thanks I will play with the sensitivity.

this may be a dumb suggestion but if one is louder then the other, I would try a felt on the louder and rubber on the quieter..if you have a 2 way or 4 way beater...response might be effected though...of course make sure the beaters are as close together as possible and centered on pad..

Thanks again guys. After further investigation I think a new pedal with an unfamiliar surface, maybe a difference in sensitivity from one region of the pad to the next, along with less than perfect technique, could be the culprit.
