Default What should I do?

I like my drums having a muffled sound. Well my drum heads don't exactly do the trick right now. Should I get a Muffle set? If so please recommend me some. (I have 4 toms and snare drum, will check sizes in a minute, Forgot them) Or should I just get new drum heads? If so recommend me some.

Other question: Do you think Bass drum seems weird if not muffled and everything else is? I like bass drum loud. As well as, which sounds do you like for Bass drum, mainly double pedal. A more muffled or less muffled. Like a cannon or what?

Using: Ludwig Heads/Drums
Thanks!

Dude, there is so much non-information here. Please post the name of your drums; i.e. Ludwig, Tama, Pearl etc and their shell sizes. We can start from there. I hope to hear from you!

This. ^

I would also add that muffled and loud don't really work together. Don't be afraid to let the drums ring a little. What you hear at the kit sounds very different from across the room.

The heads are your issue. If you want a muffled sound go out and get some remo pinstripes/emperors/powerstrokes( I think) or some evans G2's or EC2's.

I would go for the Evans EC2 with SST. I think those will give you sound you want. If thats not enough muffling go and get some moon gels.
