Default Pearl Jungle Gig Adaptor sliding problem

I am hoping some of you have used/are familiar with this item:

http://www.musicstore.com/en_EN/EUR/...DRU0008738-000

I am having trouble with constant sliding. Within a minute my kick pedal is sitting against the floor tom (which is now a bass drum) head. At first I thought the pedal base wasn't flat on the floor, but it is.

Any ideas to minimize/stop sliding while I play?

I know guys used to tie the kick pedal to their throne in days gone by. That works, but I am hoping there's a easier, more permanent solution.
