sound great - add warmth to the bright oak.

i record with brushes a lot so i have it set up like an oversized jazz kit.

Nice set. Hows the 18" Constantinople sound? I've always been thinking about looking into one, but never knew if they where worth it or not.

What is the tuning method for your bass drum? Head selection for said bass also?

Constantinople is good - dry and dark. i don't like too much wash dominating things. that said, i'm not a big crash user and haven't owned too many. went from student level sabians to sabian aa to zildjian k pretty quick and have stuck with this crash ever since.

kick heads are listed in first post - fiberskyn ambassador resonant side, yamaha branded powerstroke 3 batter side, no muffling. i tune it up to about the first recognizable tone (above just thud).
