The reason for that is that Z customs and z3s are generally owned by cavemen type drummers who don't hit their cymbals properly and think a thicker cymbal is going to last longer. If someone is going through 5 cymbals in 4 months, they need to sort their playing out.

And I know someone who has never broken a Z Custom OR an A Custom, in more than 20 years. Go figure.

I've never broken a cymbal. I'm just using these cymbals for extra reassurance. But I've changed my style and technique alot and I am probably going to go to K hybrids and A customs.
