Default Axis AL2 Adjustment help

I got them used and they happened to come with Iron Cobra beaters instead of the original Sonic Hammers. Now, what I notice right away is that my slave beater is roughly an inch closer to the bass drum than the main beater. Mind you, they're both further away than I would like (2-3 inches). How do I change the beater distance and even them out? Perhaps this seems obvious, but I'm a little confused without the Sonic Hammer adjustment settings at hand (also I'm aware that many change them because they..well...suck).

On the top of the spring assembly, on the part that joins to the beater axle, is a small allen bolt. Carefully loosen it and adjust the beater to where you want it and then gently tighten the allen bolt. Be careful not to over tighten it as you do not need extreme torque to get it to stay put.

Doing this will also increase your footboard angle, and since you don't have the hammer beaters you may have to get comfortable with a slightly different than normal footboard angle.

Since this is a new pedal to you, prepare yourself for the couple weeks you'll need to get acquainted with the new pedal feel. Once you do though, you'll be gettin' all kinds a freaky fast foot stuff goin' on!

Peace.

Thanks, found it quickly. That did the trick. Thought I'd break the allen key at first though, because the guy before apparently tightened it as far as possible.

Unless you have an old, old one. there's two screws on each one of the spring assemblies Kimosabe, one front, and one back ('B' in pic).

Make sure you work them both.
