Default Pedal problems!

I have had an iron cobra double and dw5000 double for a little over 2 years. They were amazing at first but now they are slow and the slaves have no play in them.
What can I do?Ive replaced springs and that didn't do anything.I'm about to break down and just get a new speed cobra.HELP!
Thanks

Throughly clean the bearings, or replace them.

This is akin to rebuilding your motor, though a lot easier, but still difficult when compared to just wiping down the pedal(s) with a rag.

My pedals are 5 yeas old and I've never done any cleaning of the bearings or anything like that. My friends IC's are ten years old and he's never done any cleaning either, and they work like new. Weird

Resistance comes from the bearings, not the beater, not the foot board, springs can be adjusted.

Bearings get dirty, yours may not be exposed to as much dirt.

If you and your friend cleaned your IC's bearings you would notice a difference.

What about the U-joints on the connecting rod? My DW 5000 was sticking and after lubing the swivel joints on the connecting rod with some gun oil everything loosened up just fine.
