Default TD-12 or DTX 900?

All,
I'm looking at one of these two sets to add to my practice room. Which one do think is a better set? I have not played either one, but I like the idea of the DTX pads. Are they really that much better feeling? What about the rest of the kit? The Yamaha HH? The electronics? The cymbals?

Thanks in advance.

The DTX900...much better kit IMO...cymbals and snare/tom pads are all three zone...the DTX has the ability to sample your own sounds...the module has more editing capability built into it as well...it compares more favorably with the td-20 (and I still like the DTX better)....however I would still recommend that you try both kits out...

Thanks.......seems like a obvious thing, but it's hard to find a places with these kits out to play.

I agree...DTX900 is a beast of a kit. Far superior.
I have played the TD-12, DTX3 for a week side by side. Could have bought whatever I wanted. Went with DTX3/900 and new silicone snare pad. One hell of kit to add to my studio. I have sampled my snares, cymbals....can Roland do that?

i have tried both td 20 and DTX 900.....
TD 20 just doesn't feel good to me and the TD 12 shouldn't be any better
DTX is better and im pretty sure u wont be disappointed with it
