Default 2010 - the yarbles fight back?

This is interesting. I guess it illustrates the cyclical nature of the music biz:

Who knows what's around the corner in 2011?

I wonder how the figures in North America and Europe compare?

This North American ranking from Pollstar on the first half of 2010, top grossing acts (not necessarily highest attendace...)

1. Bon Jovi
2. James Taylor / Carole King
3. Taylor Swift
4. Paul McCartney
5. George Strait / Reba / Lee Ann Womack
6. The Black Eyed Peas
7. John Mayer
8. Tim McGraw
9. Nickelback
10. Michael Bublé

For as hot as she supposedly is, Lady Gaga is #65 on the list. :O

But also important to remember that these figures go from Jan 1 to June 30, and don't include much of the all-important summer tour revenues. It will be interesting to see how the year-end figures change the names and positions.

A bit less testosterone in there as compared with the Aussie list. Again, so many older / long established stars. Good to see more emphasis on music than the all singing/dancing light and sound shows that looked like were taking over at one stage. Still, I suspect that being #65 on the US circuit would make one a pretty penny ...
