Default Groove

Hey my name is John. I thought I'd share a video of my playing. This forum and site has helped me so much in my development as a musician, so I decided to post more regularly. I find myself heavily influenced by Steve Jordan. Unfortunately this video doesn't star my beautiful Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute kit. Had to use the house kit, but used my pedal, cymbals, throne, and snare. Enjoy!

Simple playing with good timing & tempo control. Can't fault that, but I did think the house kit was a bit thumpy, & overall, the kit was too loud (I know, rare, lol). Think your singer has a lot of potential, but the whole band could do with an injection of dynamics, even in this gentle genre. Nice stuff!
