Default 18" Birch Floor Tom Head

Hello ! I Have a PDP 805 Kit With The 24" Bass Drum & I Want To Change My 18" Floor Tom Head. I Want a Double-Ply Head To Have a Deep Sound. I'm Wondering Wich Remo Head Would Be The Best. I Tried a Clear Emperor But It Needs Some Moongels, and I Don't Like To Use 'em, Would a Powerstroke 4 Work ? ThaNks !

the powerstroke 4 will sound deep , the only problem is that it could sound too muffled. but is not a big deal , because you can cut the mufflle ring until you get the sound you want.

maybe try a REMO PS3 or if you like coated heads a REMO Controlled Sound rev. dot.
or a Vintage Emperor they are thicker than the present Emperor's of today.
