Default Paiste sound creation question

There is a guy I will go to in a few days to check a snare,he also has some cymbals for sale and I saw the Paiste sound creation 22" ride.So as every drummer with internet connection I googled it and found the 18" one on youtube and really sounded nice.I am gonna check it when I go to that guy and if I like it i might buy it.Is 170 euro for it too much or is it a good price? The other ride I might buy from him is an HHX dry 21" ride at around the same price.
(long story for a short question :D )

If it truly is a 22" Sound Creation ride, either a Dark, Bell or Flat Ride, those are VERY sought after rides by Paiste-holics and sellers usually get big money for them. Not so much for the Sound Creation Bright Rides. Unfortunately, I don't know the value of "Euros" though, so I can't tell you if that is a poor, good or great price for it or not. 22" SC rides seem to be more loved and desired than smaller SC rides for some reason as well.

If it is actually a 22" Sound Formula ride (which is also a discontinued Paiste line and often confused with the Sound Creations), it will have less value than the more sought after Sound Creations. I would second check to see if it is actually a Sound Creation or Sound Formula ride. Sorry I can't be more specific.

22" SC for 170 Euros?

Jump in it. You will has opulence.

Seriously.

170 is a win.

Like he said.... make sure she's a Sound Creation and not a Sound Formula. Big difference.

Later,
Matt

The Logo is at the top or 12 O'clock position. At 3 O'clock will be the size (sometimes) and description of the ride. Check this site out for some close-up photos of the logos.

Like mbettis stated, if the cymbal is in good or better condition, that price for a 22" SC Darkride is excellent.

$230.00 for a 22 " Sound Creation dark ride is a steal- one of the most highly desired cymbals for paisetaholics ( me being one).
